What are you doing the week before Memorial Day this year? I hope you’ll be joining me in the conference that I not only speak at, but co-produce (with my InDesignSecrets.com partner, David Blatner), the Print & ePublishing Conference. You may remember that we did our first one back in May of 2010, at the Adobe headquarters in Seattle, Washington. It was a ton of fun and a great success with over 200 people in attendance. The majority of attendees and InDesignSecrets.com members voted for Washington, DC, to be the next location for the conference, and we aim to please!
The short story is that it’s a 3-day conference that covers digital, tablet, and print workflows for all publishers and creative professionals. If you register by April 8, you can receive $200 in savings for the early-bird discount. Group and education discounts are also available.
2011 Print & ePublishing Conference
May 23 - 25, 2011
As our press release says, it “brings a star-studded cast of experts to the Washington DC area, May 23-25. Topics at the conference will include publishing on the iPad and other tablet devices, digital print workflows for professionals, and best practices for Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash integration.”
We’re still working on the speaker line-up and the agenda, but so far, speakers include me and David (we work cheap), Russell Viers, Rufus Deuchler, Michael “the indesigner” Murphy (if we can tear him away from his newborn twins), Cari Jansen (InDesign/XML/ePub guru from Australia), and over a dozen other InDesign and publishing experts from around the world. Plus, managers from Adobe will be on hand to answer questions and listen to your feedback. (If we can get anyone from the Acrobat team to show up, believe you me I’ll have some questions … LOL.) Attendees will have ample opportunity to ask the experts questions of their own, during presentations and morning and afternoon Q&A sessions.
The conference includes an optional full day of tutorials on Creating Interactive Documents, CS5 In-Depth, and Acrobat/PDF. And there’s fun networking/outing stuff happening in the evenings, and it includes breakfast and lunch … lots of goodies. I’ll be sharing more info as it’s available, but wanted to give you all a heads-up so you can take advantage of that early bird discount.
